Yes that was entirely the goal of this all, and for some bizarre reason academics were framing this whole thing in the context of rubrics and whether the paper deserved an A or B or whatever.

Congratulations on playing the transphobes’ game so well.

Hey I have an almost 25 yo blog with a community I just described as "one of the most loathesome, miserable, no good groups of foul-mouthed misanthropic miscreants and ne’er-do-wells to ever congeal together in a sump basin in this online sewer." Come join us.

I’m not gonna watch the CECOT segment because I know it’s going to be horrific and I’m already horrified every moment of every day but I’m very glad it’s out there, it’s important that it’s out there, and it’s gonna hold CBS accountable for any changes they make to it and that’s a very good thing.

That yellow belly is puffed out and that red crest is raised because I was too close when I filled the feeders. so I went and got my camera and got closer! These are beautiful birds and I'm always happy to host them... that poor tree is probably not as happy about it. 😂 #birds

My uncle died at 41 with Down Syndrome and likely Alzheimer's, because a huge percentage of people living with Down Syndrome develop it. He wasn't verbal enough to know for sure.

He could never have defended himself or his own existence. Using this word soils your soul every time it's uttered.
“It turns out that banishing the slur from public discourse was, in fact, important. Because now it’s back and it turns out that it does matter when subtext becomes actual text, when terrible people enable open hatred and bigotry, encouraging others to emulate them, degrading us all.”
Perry: The return of the r-word
"These days, the r-word slur has become a staple of the American right wing, uttered with few professional or social consequences," David M. Perry writes.
