In 2026 we're not sharing grifters to dunk on them. We're not spreading hate on the skyline in order to make a point about that hate. We're not quote skeeting small accounts with bad takes. We're just not gonna promote hostile stupid thought to our friends

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Former BBC employee Jack Murley has posted on Instagram about the repeated homophobic abuse he received while working for the corporation - often from BBC staff. He says the BBC has now formally apologised.

Celebrities having the power to abuse and getting away with it is particularly upsetting when they're as strikingly untalented and unfunny as David Walliams.

Doesn’t feel good that the head of BBC News Content is instructing reporters to refer to trans people with slurs. If this leak is real it raises questions about who made this decision, who was consulted, and why the BBC chose to ignore its own editorial guidelines on slurs and offensive language
EXCLUSIVE
The BBC has circulated leaked guidance telling journalists to describe trans women as “biological males”.

Here's a clip of Rob Reiner that brings me a lot of joy & how I'm happiest to remember him. It's an episode of Gomer Pyle from 1969 and Rob's the hippie in yellow, just 21 years old. Sitcoms weren't supposed to talk about the Vietnam War, so they found a way to sing about it instead.

Literally every time this comes up I have an intense flashback to people’s unhinged outrage at a CBeebies presenter with a limb difference and how they could possibly explain this to their kids
“How do I explain trans people to my kids”

mate, what are you explaining? “Kids, this is Mr Jay, would you like to wave or fistbump or shake hands?”

what is there to explain beyond “here’s a person”

Non-binary barrister is very clear that excluding trans people is not mandatory.

This means that if you exclude trans people you are doing it voluntarily and because you want to.

If you want to exclude trans people you will be held responsible for your actions.
Barrister confirms trans ‘exclusion is not mandatory’ after discrimination case
The UK’s first out non-binary barrister has emphasised that “nothing in the current law makes [trans] exclusion mandatory”.
