Let's talk Christmas Carol.

So you may think you fully understand why it's a timeless story, but it's not about greed. It's about what you demand of others.

perhaps instead of cowering under a blanket labeled "health care," democrats should respond and advance on the issues that move people. this, of course, would require a foundation of conviction and principle, which may be asking too much of the party's leadership and strategists.

There's a reason that after years of my friends playing Assassin's Creed, seeing ads for the game, when I first played an AC game I was surprised by the modern day plot. I haven't played a bunch of them but from the limited amount I've played, the abstergo plot was an annoyance.

This is important. The first 24 hours of press coverage fumbled the ball. But the US just murdered 11 people in international waters. Analogies to the US’s (highly suspect, morally and legally) targeted killings of suspect terrorists don’t work. This crossed their own lines, and they know it.
1/ I worked at DoD. I literally cannot imagine lawyers coming up with a legal basis for lethal strike of suspected Venezuelan drug boat.

Hard to see how this would not be "murder" or war crime under international law that DoD considers applicable.

An eloquent image:

Setting aside the content under the tarp for a moment, teens were asked to make art expressing what it is like to be a teen, and the end result was a mural wrapped in a tarp by adults.

I bet a lot of teens would find this expressive of their experience.

Relevant for Dropout/Game Changer fans this week, please please please go see a physiotherapist not a chiropractor
Just as a morning PSA chiropractors are not doctors, and if you have very real and serious back pain, please go to an ortho or someone who knows what they're doing.

Especially don't let a chiro near your neck. There have been instances of vertebral artery dissection which is real bad.

I remember when his son, Richard W. Smith and his three frat buddies selected a random UVa student and beat the hell out of him on the street while they laughed, back in 1997. UVa didn't expel them, thanks to Fred Smith's intervention. Today, Richard W. Smith is a COO at FedEx.
Fred Smith, who bet everything he had on a plan to revolutionize freight transport as the founder of FedEx, died on Saturday at age 80. His vision for how to ship packages overnight led to not just a new company, but also a new sector of the world economy.

Migrating a company from one version to the next of an existing software is a project that often takes years and millions/billions of dollars. But yeah, I'm sure a bunch of 20 year olds can just whip up a new critical government system on the cheap with AI.

For the entire school.

Every kid pre-k through fifth grade (the whole school) goes home with two free books.
