I think people are erroneously interpreting the headline to mean that the Wikimedia Foundation is embracing AI for purposes like generating encyclopedia content, or are providing AI companies with more training data than they were already scraping.

Personally I wish they'd just go ahead and break away or go ahead and make athletes employees.
It would be better for athletes able to get top tier compensation and better for all the other schools to focus on their own programs rather than trying to keep up with pro team spending.
