Interesting how the line is, now that we have legalized sports gambling across the board there's no putting that genie back in the bottle versus sure we can end the hemp industry with one line in an unrelated bill.

Still so sad for Omar. Broadest coalition of support, track record of DELIVERING progressive wins in the state house, his *actual* integrity is rock solid...but the *perception* of him (architected by many of the same actors facilitating the "compliant" media ecosystem) is not. That's bad.
Progressives got behind a candidate with a low ceiling of support and obvious liabilities. Multiple council members who endorsed Fateh and put all their energy behind him even acknowledged he could not win. Fateh was never going to be Mamdani. He didn't have the charisma or the comms for that.

The list of things centrists think Dems should run on is so striking. There's some good stuff in here (expand Medicare to vision & dental), but it's mostly technical tweaks and preservation of the status quo.
Like yes, ban congressional stock trading but it's not exactly a compelling vision.
