This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm.

The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him.

Happy Black History Month.

Violating hospitality is one of the oldest proscriptions across so many cultures.
Thinking about whoever said that by accepting a meal from people and then arresting them ICE agents broke a cultural taboo that was invented by, like, the first humans to set up a tent

The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

Seems like the exact wrong time to look for ways to compromise with Republicans and exactly the right time to go for the jugular and secure the thousand year woke dynasty
Pew has Trump's approval at 37%. And:

"Only about a quarter of Americans today (27%) say they support all or most of Trump’s policies and plans, down from 35% when he returned to office last year. That change has come entirely among Republicans."

I have a big request for those of you with Republican senators and reps who claim to be Christian.

Call them up and read them these lines from Matthew 25.

Ask them if funding ICE is worth going to Hell for.

This is the guiding principle of centrist politics by the way. Give the absolute bare minimum to shut enough people up so capitalists can continue robbing you blind.
The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

[P] I don’t hold much hope that this guy will ever see true consequences. The most I realistically hope for is that, like Miller and others in this administration, he can never eat out again without worrying that there’ll be spit (at best) in every dish.

(And in a just world, there will be.)
