My wife and I pretty much “budget” entirely based on vibes. “Feels a little tight,” “yeah we can probably afford a little splurge here,” “maybe we should throttle back a bit,” etc.
Barely anyone does! This is normal! Almost all real "budgets" are people saying "Feels a little tight this month, gonna heat some leftovers tonight." People are not sitting down with spreadsheets tracking every penny. It's just not a common thing! Why are we pretending it is!
Now I feel like a loser because i never budget for food. I like avoid eating out more than once a week but that is it.

The "Discover" and "For you" tabs on social media? Trash. Persionalized ads? Turned off. Personalized "for your page" feeds? Slop.

Ok the one good personalized thing I can recall is...my personalized Excite.Com landing page in the late 90s
I genuinely can't think of a hyper-personalized or even personalized piece of technology or agent that I've used or appreciated in the last 25 years

As I've spent the better part of the day explaining why I don't think Newsom should be the Democratic nominee for president, it pains me to "defend" this, but...

Southwest really was the airline for those of us that needed to get where we were going without the bells and whistles. I truly despise private equity.
Southwest Airlines really worked hard to be like the other major carriers. They really just Spirit with a lace front on payday.

Genuinely somewhat worrying to me how many political reporters not only do not understand policy -- that's table stakes at this point -- but also don't know how actual governance works
Wow just a completely false statement in @axios.com, resolutions of disapproval are privileged and only need a simple majority in the Senate, in fact four of the anti-tariff resolutions have passed the Senate already.

This thread might be relevant re: El Paso.

Basically DC had a bunch of phantom TCAS warnings a few months ago and turns out they were likely spawned by Secret Service GOS jamming
3/ They analyze the source of the TCAS attack at DCA: "This analysis indicates that the probability of the transmitter being located within the P-56B area is 94.1% relative to the most probable location identified by our filter." P-56B is the prohibited airspace around the Naval Observatory.
