I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

wrote 20 pages on Faulkner's The Bear four hours before final papers were due on trucker pills and coffee and cigarettes and got an A, fuck you.

It's funny that one of the things genAI dipshits keep promising is to personalize all media: the movie or tv show *you* watch is not at all the same movie someone else watches, etc. Different things happen, characters act different, different characters show up, etc. Same movie though somehow.

I'm not advocating for that, to be clear, but it definitely isn't civil war when the governors of the occupied territories allow the police of their state to provide material assistance to the occupying forces.

And it would definitely be nice if they stopped doing that.
