the reason you think American society used to be homogenous is that the version of Wokeness we did for Italians and the Irish won a victory too large for you to see from the inside
I got this comment in response to a post on X and it just made me think that a lot of these reactionaries just have no idea about even the basics of American history, and have been fed a false and rosy nostalgic view of things in the honestly recent past.

/also the comment about China is dumb.

I’m up for tearing down the ballroom but would also accept turning it into a facility that hosts naturalization ceremonies literally 24-7-365.
A no-brainer for any Democratic aspirant for the presidency is to vow to remove Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center and to tear down his White House ballroom to be replaced by a refurbished East Wing.

On U.S. soil, the worst antisemitic massacre in living memory was perpetrated by one of Vance's white nationalist fellow travelers, who was specifically incensed about the Jewish community providing aid to refugees and asylum seekers.
Folks, would you believe me if I told you JD Vance was over there railing against the immigrants as the reason for the antisemitism

The persuasive power of originalism is unmatched.
I don't know, Aaron. I think we need to take this seriously. In fact, after surveying hundreds of years of history in the past few days, I've written an article assessing the originalist case here:

I am deadly serious when I say that any liberal Project 2028 people should be taking names of the civil servants who go way past their authority to do stuff like this.

That is very much not me saying that normal employees following bad orders should be fired. But there’s a line. This crosses it.
That should be a career ending act of corruption

I mean I don't know what the exact correct number of new judges is, but this is basically right. Immigration court isn't a court and it is time to move its functions to Article III, with whatever resource additions that requires.
Next dem administration should add 8000 new federal judges and get rid of the farce that is immigration “court”
A federal judge ruled Thu morning that no order of removal for Abrego Garcia had ever existed. By Thu evening, an immigration judge had conjured a “Immigration Court’s Sua Sponte Order Correcting Scrivener’s Error," Abrego Garcia's lawyers tell the judge in the emergency overnight filing:

Judge Xinis ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s release in part bc ICE could not produce a final “order of removal” to deport him. So last night, they went out and got an immigration judge to issue one.

Now, Abrego is urging Xinis to block his redetention. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
