There’s no reason to have a Democratic Party if it won’t go to the mat to save the Department of Education. It’s a fundamental belief that children in America deserve better futures. It’s tremendously simple. You cannot continue funding a government that would close this.
The Department of Education will begin sweeping layoffs tonight with about half of its 4,400 employees expected to be let go, sources tell CNN.

he's also completely wrong about public opinion on social justice issues always going in one direction. in the mid 60s more people opposed the death penalty than supported it. by the mid 90s it had 80% support. today only a slim majority support it. why the roller coaster? elite messaging.
Trans people, including student athletes and their parents have been screaming from the rooftops about this but a lot of people, including many liberals have ignored them.

Staff were told they need to deadname trans kids in their reports to comply.
