Gavin Newsom has terrible political instincts. Cozying up to racists like Charlie Kirk. Attacking trans kids. Defending billionaires. When left to his own devices he always picks the wrong path.
Newsom is useful in the same way MTG is. Great that he’s there to make fun of Trump, but that doesn’t mean he’s actually got good ideas. Being pro-tax-the-billionaires is the lowest hanging fruit for 2028 aspirants and he can’t even clear that bar.

in the 4th grade we were taught: slave catchers were un-American thugs, those who helped escaping slaves were heroes, & unjust laws like the Fugitive Slave Act are meant to challenge us as patriots, to show through risking arrest that everyone knows laws about catching people aren't themselves legal

A few years ago when we were looking into it it was gonna be like $50,000. And that's not even the actual baby cover charge. That's a lottery ticket for a chance at a baby. Then would come the tens of thousands to deliver the thing. All to get to real step one: 100ks of more dollars over 18+ years.
