Bad Bunny was once again the most streamed artist globally on Spotify after claiming the honor for 3 straight years from 2020-2022. Incredible that a Spanish language unabashedly Puerto Rican album was the most streamed globally this year.

Miraculously, the Waymo discourse is even worse. The cars are not Mechanical Turks. Have you ever seen one on the streets? Driven next to one? I do this four times a day. You've never met a driver half as capable as a Waymo.

The company sucks. Whatever. Regulate it. The technology is amazing.
I realize I'm caught in a liminal glass house as an LLM skeptic who works at a company at the very bleeding edge of its development, but every single discussion on this app about AI annoys me. Every opinion is bad, every discourse is stupid.

This post is worst of all.

As it happens this is exactly the argument of a bunch of angry white dudes who seethe with fury because I have had a very successful 20 year career in mainstream science fiction publishing and they haven't. It's an intriguing hypothesis and I wish them joy with it.
You’re so woke you’re probably no longer a ‘real’ white man.

You can watch the 60 Minutes piece (with a link in my story) about the abuse & torture migrants received in the El Salvador gulag after being deported by the Trump regime without due process & lies about their criminality. This horror is what Trump apologist Bari Weiss didn’t want Americans to see.
Bullseye from 60 Minutes journalist Sharyn Alfonsi in response to Bari Weiss: “If the administration’s refusal to participate becomes a valid reason to spike a story, we have effectively handed them a ‘kill switch’ for any reporting they find inconvenient.”

Snapshot: Rejecting the Regime's 'Kill Switch'
CBS News' Bari Weiss blocked a rigorous '60 Minutes' story about the brutal CECOT prison. This is not tolerable.

I sincerely hope that she accidentally puts a third of the Republicans in the House in panic mode by airing video of the cocaine-and-gay-sex parties talked about by Madison Cawthorne.
Bari Weiss’ two accomplishments so far are hosting an interview that she desperately wanted people to watch (but they didn’t) and trying to spike a news story that she desperately wanted nobody to watch (but they did)

And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, his body surrendered to the sand in a slow, irreversible negotiation with eternity. Where a boy had been, a vast segmented body took shape, ring after ring locking into immortality.
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, was immortal. From the dawn of time we came; moving silently down through the centuries, living many secret lives, struggling to reach the time of the Gathering; when the few who remain will battle to the last.
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, now has a machine gun. Ho. Ho. Ho.

The organized astroturfing and financing of these extreme ideologies is one of the key stories of our time
Anti-trans demagogue and fifth place swimmer Riley Gaines earned $470,000+ last year from a conservative non-profit.

Notably, $420k was incentive-based.

A neat little window into the way the transphobic grift is being compensated.

I wonder what the per-post rate is?

This quote-post chain, now up to 43 episodes, serves as a great bluesky journal of sorts of a GLP 1 experience. Terzepatide (Zepbound/Mounjaro) in this case, but the progress / side effect adventure is similar for other GLP 1 agonists.
43 doses in, 68 pounds down. couldn't finish lunch which means i've got half a pambazo to be deployed at a time of my choosing.

my side effects are mild other than the aerophagia which sucks.
42 doses in, 69 pounds down. Fully reapproved by insurance; language suggested that the key factors were limited to 1) they had previously been paying for it and 2) it had worked.

it’s cold in DC and I’m wearing four layers in the house right now. is this how you skinny people feel every winter?
