I think there's been a concerted to effort to portray people who make art of all sorts as basically dilettante's who only make art because they don't have anything else to do. Which is not even remotely the reality. It's actually a rather Victorian throwback.
There’s something in here about why people feel so entitled to use ChatGPT to “write novels” and “make art”, because they clearly view these honed skills as the domain of the elite and not something people spend a fuckton of time and energy to get good at.
Just saw someone claim that authors who want to be paid for their work are "class traitors" because we "only let the wealthy" read our books, and I think I need to go into the woods to scream into the night for a bit.

So in love with my blähaj patch made by the wonderful @nonbinarycreative.bsky.social They are one of the most inventive and creative and talented humans I know! They even made little plastic pockets on the speech bubble so I can swap out the phrases!
