I’ve posted this before but the light was perfect today- a little Victorian cat paw in a brick at the front of the old Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. As this is on the front-facing corner of the main gates, the bricklayer quite clearly put it there on purpose, at a height where children would spot it.

On the subject of typefaces, a fun thing I've learned today: If you put the name of a typeface into Google, it will at least sometimes give you the results in the typeface you're asking about. I don't know if that's dependent on having the typeface already on your computer; still cool.

Yeah, even in my extremely white family, we refer to my father's cousins (so the children of my great aunts) as 'aunts.'
It's generational signifier: kin of your parent's generation are aunts and uncles. I'd introduce my little one to my own cousins as 'Uncle [firstname]' and 'Aunt [firstname].'

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.
