i don't think u can rly blame people for just reading headlines when basically every website renders their articles unreadable for 99% of people who don't jump through hoops. whether it be 2 ads for every 1 line of text, ui glitches, paywalls, subscription popups, text straight up disappearing, etc

The timing of all this is funny as I've been reading a book on language where the author beefs with chomsky like crazy so i imagine he must be like "oh yeah? that guy with his restrictive and overly mechanical ideas about language took pictures with epstein? no shock to me."
Noam Chomsky has spent about 60 years telling us that billionaires control the world through corporate propaganda.

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

realizing while watching Airplane! (1980) that family guy humor is just Airplane! (1980) humor but not even coming close to reaching how funny Airplane! (1980) is. maybe like 50% at its best and funniest which to be fair is very funny! But damn Airplane! (1980) is just on another Plane of existence.
