Democratic leadership is terrified of being seen on the side of the people of Minneapolis, least they lose the potential future support of pro-cop people whose support they do not and never will have.
I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

Dem leadership is so materially removed from the circumstances that a disruption to their lunch order would drive them to action more quickly than a murder attempt. They do not know the friction of every day life. Waiting in a line would probably register as torture in their minds.

I think that people don’t comprehend that the state has been unapologetically beating young people’s asses basically nonstop & charging us with massive crimes for protesting since at least Occupy Wall Street & growing up like that has a chilling effect on the way people engage with democracy

ICE also shot a woman here in Chicago, whom they made similar claims against. She didn't die, despite being shot multiple times, and the charges against her were eventually dropped, because the stories they tell to justify their violence are always bullshit and never hold up under scrutiny.
