No one becomes a LEO to serve their community anymore, man. The good-natured officer twirling his whistle as he walks down main street greeting kids & old ladies by name was a fantasy of the 50's. 75 years later, the best you hope for is that their SS tattoos aren't visible while they're in uniform.
State and local law enforcement know the communities they serve. They’ve built the trust and know how to keep us safe.

if only there had been a movement and momentum several years ago to downsize police budgets, clear out the white supremacists and de-militarize local law enforcement
The elephant in the room is that mayors and governors across the country have very good reason to question the loyalty and allegiances of the state and local police forces and that’s one of the impediments to doing anything about the current occupations

I just unfollowed that Chad Loder guy over that exact issue. I’ve been following him for years and have found a lot of his commentary really good - but now he’s either making shit up or having some sort of crash out or both. I don’t fuck with that.
