the CSAM thing seems to be unique to grok and the chatbot psychosis seems to be unique to ChatGPT. grok is pretty self-explanatory in that Musk is a trash person who thinks making involuntary pronography is funny, but the GPT thing is more interesting. like, Claude doesn't appear to do this as much

This has applied repeatedly to wars, austerity, crackdowns, cutbacks, you name it. Here’s what the government says it’s doing. If we’re lucky, we might get a half-honest case but more often it will be the most disingenuous justifications made. If you’re very lucky, here is someone saying it’s bad.

This is a category error IMO. They don’t see it as the paper’s job to investigate whether Pepsi actually is The Choice Of A New Generation, or if Coke really is It. Their job is to present you with the proposition, so the public can decide.

The idea you can only cheat greedy people is destructive and leads to a lot of well-meaning people being cheated because they let their guard down. You can cheat by working pretty much any impulse, greed is just the most obvious lever some people have.

1)Liberals and hard leftists (including anarchists) have fundamental differences in political values and are actually ideologically opposed to each other

It is a rare quality indeed to have the integrity to face an unpleasant truth from a person you don't respect; to have someone you loathe deliver a verdict that settles uncomfortably on your shoulders. Too easily we use the messenger or delivery as an excuse to dismiss that it is truth nonetheless.

there’s a lot of irony around how writing a genuinely good prompt for LLMs requires the exact kind of clarity and precision in communication that is taught by good (human) writing instructors - who have now almost all been laid off by college admins
