A nazi emailed me this clip of Paola Ramos saying, "there’s no scientific evidence to prove that a black woman and a white woman are genetically different" to Malcolm Collins and him blowing a gasket. Really raised my stress level. (Haven't seen the whole bit.)

They are defined by misery. They cannot experience satisfaction because they have no emotional connections with people, nature, or art.

Each has the personality of a sinkhole, and you can't solve that problem by filling it.
It doesn’t fix things, but it really does bring me comfort to know how miserable some of the worst people are. Donald Trump tweeting over 200 times on Christmas. Billionaires fighting with strangers online during the holidays. Everything about Elon Musk

I’m a trained social worker. I worked with cases of CSA and other horrifying traumas. I didn’t learn til 6 months before I burnt out how dangerous and cumulative vicarious and secondary trauma are.

You don’t want this in your head and you don’t want it to live in your body. It doesn’t leave.
And as several folks are saying in the comments: curiosity about the Epstein files is understandable, but just for yourself personally, think carefully about what you want in your head forever.

It will come to you later in upsetting ways that you may not expect.

I promise you- people think they want to know the lurid details- they don't. I spent 30 years reading accounts of CA/SA and that shit never leaves your head.
I'm interested in knowing who was on public payroll and didn't do their jobs. And I'm happy to wait for the truth so it sticks.

This is super cool bc:

1) Many of the highest-risk conditions, like ME/CFS & Long Covid, aren't on the list

2) The best way to protect the vulnerable is to protect the population so others don't infect them

3) None of this accounts for Novavax which is not mRNA

Only people 65 and over or with underlying health conditions should get the shots, the advisory group recommended. There may be insurance roadblocks for others.

Conservatives have done a masterful job, with a huge assist from the mainstream media, in rewriting the history of the recession, covid, and the Biden presidency (among other eras). Despite all this the only interest liberals and the Dems seem to have is more donations for another election cycle.

I have a lot of thoughts about why people devalue romance and romance writers and have expressed those thoughts in numerous long form places but it is INCREDIBLY telling that people doubt the technical and business savvy of people who work in an extremely feminized arm of publishing.
So I am going to say something about romance as a genre.

A lot of people think that romance is ignorable because <insert thing they think about romance> and romance authors don't count because <insert thing they think about romance>.

This thread is not about whether you have to like romance.

You should care about that. They're doing it there because they think nobody gives a shit about romance and so it's fine to experiment with it first.

It is about this: because so many people do not give a shit about romance, shit gets tried in romance first.

You should pay attention to romance publishing news and care about it, because they will try that shit here first.
