So what the fuck are you going to do about it?!
1/ There’s nothing more American than the right to dissent and question authority. It’s who we are and how we became a country.

I went to war three times for our nation. I swore to uphold the Constitution. There’s no way in hell I’m letting Donald Trump take these rights away now.

Notice that Democratic Party leaders are not only not proposing meaningful measures to stop this, but they are actively proposing to *keep giving ICE money to do it.*

Buddy. You’re intimidated by consultants and poll numbers. You’re not really the vanguard of freedom and democracy you try to project.

Be aggressive and then we can use big statements
Jeffries on the arrest of Don Lemon: "The Trump administration has systematically targeted the free and fair press, because they want to intimidate America and oppose anyone who is not willing to bend the knee to their extremism. We are not going to be intimidated."

theres an easy way out of this for every single ice agent, a way out they all have the means to take at any moment they choose
What's morale like at CBP & ICE right now? New survey data are damning.
*21% of CBP respondents (9% of ICE respondents) believe their agencies' political leaders maintain high standards of integrity.
*Only 23% at CBP (18% at ICE) feel confident they could report illegal acts without retribution

to be clear this is literally actually worse than nothing. doing nothing would’ve been better than this.

turns out the politicians and parties who support genocide abroad? also wholeheartedly support terrorizing us domestically. I for one appreciate their philosophical consistency.
Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said the party agreed on three main goals:

° Require warrants in some cases and ICE coordination with state and local law enforcement

° Create a code of conduct and enforce it

° Require agents to wear body cams and not masks
Democrats demand new ICE restrictions as government shutdown looms
After federal agents shot and killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Senate Democrats say they’ll block a massive government funding package without policy changes.

If what ends up happening is MN officials agree to aggressive 287(g) or other cooperation agreements to stop the occupation, that is a terrible Faustian bargain that is closer to total loss than any kind of victory. It sets the precedent that the feds can force your city to play ball at gunpoint

It’s all disgusting. Plus chasing them out of one state (or making a deal or whatever) ultimately just means they’re going to terrorize another community. They need to be STOPPED.

Think about it like this. This ICE agent was on camera and unmasked — fulfilling one of three "demands" Democratic leader Chuck Schumer just issued in order to agree to save Republicans and give DHS even more money.

And he was still threatening to kill someone.
"You raise your voice, I erase your voice."

ICE in Minneapolis are erasing your rights.

Very little if anything seems to have changed on the ground. ICE is still out there terrorizing neighborhoods and trying to disappear neighbors. None of us on the ground are buying this bullshit. We will keep organizing and fighting.
The intense fallout from the killing of Alex Pretti has forced President Trump to publicly change course in Minneapolis.

Listen to our White House reporters discuss the changes on today's episode of "The Daily."

Astounding how feckless, offensive, and absolutely useless the U.S. Congress is.

Asking for a damn investigation and personnel change at a brutal agency that Pettersen supports and will always vote to fund, really does remind you—with dems like these who needs republicans.

Two wings. Same bird.
Yet another shooting involving federal agents, this time in Arizona. We are seeing a terrifying pattern of escalating violence & no regard for human life.

We need a full, independent investigation into every single incident involving DHS agents, & the removal of Kristi Noem NOW.

ICE killed people and Dems are gonna give them more money and. . . .
The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced the Democrats have to push their hand immediately. The parallels with the delays and subsequent failures after January 6th are blaring warning signs about what will happen if they don’t go after the issues with ICE and CBP at the root RIGHT NOW.
