I agree (as usual) with Jo here, that all of these different ET decisions demonstrate that FWS brought anything but clarity to the state of the law.
The fact it's currently 2-1 (Peggie and Kelly - Darlington) in the Employment Tribunals demonstrates pretty clearly that whatever else the Supreme Court delivered it did not deliver clarity.

(More to follow when we can find a copy of the judgment.)

Psychology Today: Secrecy, shame, and erasure, not intersex traits themselves, are what create distress. When people are taught their bodies must be hidden or “fixed,” internalized stigma becomes a chronic health burden. @psychologytoday.com

The Psychology of Intersex Rights and Well-Being
Why intersex well-being depends less on biology and more on stigma, autonomy, and connection, and what that means for families, clinicians, and policy.

As someone who struggled to get back into reading outside of work and parenting (mental load, emotional exhaustion, etc) - I’ll add - start anywhere.

Read anything!

Read something easy and pleasurable

Read for 5 minutes today and 6 minutes tomorrow

Make it fun and easy until you want more
If you have time to doom scroll, you have time to read books!

I feel like we’ve gone quite a few rounds of “this guy is unfortunately not the guy you want him to be,” and it never really sticks.
Disappointed to see Jon Stewart & co joke about masking in public. I do it for my medically fragile daughter (Batten Disease). People not masking properly led to her getting pneumonia, which led to her being on life support, which led to me getting price quotes on her cremation just in case.

Forever begging authors to tell me what their books are about! Try a one sentence pitch about your book. No comps or aesthetics. Talk about a protagonist, what they want, and what's stopping them. (Speaking to the genre writers here)
Thinking of how I can trick romance authors into promoting their books with a one sentences description of what actually happens again. We gotta ease off the trope only vibes. WHAT HAPPENS!

Blockbuster interview about institutional transphobia at the New York Times that names names of the bigots responsible: A.G. Sulzberger, Joe Kahn, Carolyn Ryan at the top, plus Pamela Paul, Jeremy Peters, Azeen Ghorayshi, Katie J.M. Baker, & an entire anti-trans pro-mgmt splinter group in the union
In this in-depth interview Billie Jean Sweeney — a former editor at The New York Times — details how the paper shifted towards openly promoting anti-trans hatred, why this was directed from the very top, how some staff pushed back and the immense damage done by the NYT legitimizing bigotry.

If you're not trans, I don't think I can fully explain how important this is.

It's so powerful that one of the most circulated science media publications in the world has come out and said "trans children are real and providing transition care improves their lives." That's groundbreaking.
The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

I've seen people say that getting attached to ChatGPT is like "believing the stripper really loves you", but that's not true. It's more like believing that the dryer personally composed that little jingle on a lonely sockless night just to win your affections.
