Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

I don’t think I can say this forcefully enough: hundreds of thousands of Haitians will lose status tomorrow with racist ending of their TPS & are spending today refreshing their feeds for a court order that could literally save thier lives.

This is nothing short of psychosocial torture.

BREAKING: Judge Jia Cobb issues a TRO blocking DHS Sec Noem's Jan 8 memo purporting to require 7-day notices by members of Congress to perform oversight visits to immigration detention facilities.

The effect is that congressional oversight visits are allowed on request, as is required by Sec. 527.

This is how Tom Homan reacts to losing a court case to free a medically fragile 5-year-old who was used as bait to lure his dad so they could be imprisoned in a measles factory. Fuck any de-escalation stories that come out.
Columbia Heights (Liam's school district) cancelled school today because of a credible bomb threat at Liam's elementary and multiple ICE vehicles parking in the high school staff parking lot at 6:15am.

While skepticism is always warranted, I think Chief Grochow should be commended for intervening regardless of how he got involved.

Living in Mankato, this response and the department’s interest in knowing more/helping is far better than Mankato PD’s nonchalance to ICE calls.

The level of solidarity and organization in the Twin Cities is a goddamn inspiration. We should all be taking notes and following suit.
BREAKING: Tenants across Minneapolis and Saint Paul have just launched a Twin Cities tenant union, citing the fact that their cities are under siege, and saying they need to band together to protect one another.

New York has 14 287(g) agreements. 12 started under Trump II, and 7 of those are the dreaded "Task Force" agreements (more on the types here, forumtogether.org/article/expl... —the task force model essentially turns local cops into ICE agents doing status investigations).

Ending these would be big.

The obvious problem with this is that ICE will simply ignore these rules and no one has standing to sue and enforce compliance. They’re already ignoring much more serious laws, like laws against murder for example. This is useless.

I simply can't keep my name, address, face out of their records and defend my neighbors at the same time. I would argue that I defend my neighbors precisely by being willing to have my name, address, face in whatever bullshit they've cooked up. Waste your limited time and resources on me. Go ahead.

You can vibe code your way to a working prototype. You cannot vibe code or one-shot your way to a competitive product that works at scale. The hard part isn't writing code; it's the architectural supervision.

ICE has been holding a disabled Black man for a year!

Rodney Taylor is a double amputee who was days away from receiving new prosthetic legs when ICE took him.

He’s been denied his prosthetics & placed in solitary.

His health is declining.

Public outrage might save his life.

Say his name:

This image is totally the embodiment of confidence and resistance. It’s a miracle the GOP have lasted this long against such strong and principled leaders like Chuck Schumer.

Step aside, Chuck. Your glasses need a rest.
SCHUMER says Democrats are “united” behind three DHS reforms

1/ End roving patrols; tighten the rules on warrants and require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

2/ Enforce accountability; a uniform code of conduct.

3/ Require masks off, body cameras on, agents carry ID.
