pretty wild statement re: Republican Chris Madel drop from race for MN governor:

All these MAGAts who said for years they'd put their lives on the line to fight a tyrannical government seem awfully confused and angry at the liberals actually doing it.

Swedish mathematician Niels Fabian Helge von Koch was born #OTD in 1870.

He did important work in number theory, including a result relating the Riemann hypothesis to the asymptotic distribution of prime numbers. But he's best known for the "Koch Curve" – an early example of a fractal. 🧪 🧮

Look at this. He left the LIGHT SWITCHES in the edited photos! These assholes look like their well-meaning mom took a picture of them on their first day in a grown-up job.

Didn't think I could be more crushed by anything vicarious this weekend than Ethan Hawke reading this speech from Stoppard's The Coast of Utopia. But the murder of the Reiners definitely proved everything wrong.

Redford, 89 years old today.

“All the President’s Men” (1976) owes its existence to him — buying the film rights, developing a script and cajoling a reluctant Woodward & Bernstein.

I thought it was “a great character study,” he said — but for months, “they didn’t return my calls.”

This is the shit they’re defunding. Scientists can make your teeth see so you can get back to balling and they want to take that away from you forever
TIL that for some people with irreparably damaged corneas, you can pull one of their teeth, drill a hole in it, install an artificial lens, sew it into their cheek (so tissue attaches), then pull it out and stick it in their damaged eye, and ... it works fine!?! www.nbcboston.com/news/health/...
Man, 34, is no longer blind after tooth is implanted in eye in 'crazy' surgery
Tooth-in-eye surgery sounds like science fiction, but it can help people with severely damaged corneas see again. A patient and his doctors describe what it's like.
