I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

The "Southwest is bringing assigned seating!" with the people celebrating ad is really funny to me because I know absolutely NO ONE who feels positive about the change. As a solo traveler, open seating stresses me out less tbh. I can suss out who I sit by! First the free bags, now this :(
