Whoa … this is really strange.

Federal law enforcement managed to confiscate almost two tons of cocaine, and arrest 3 suspects, without blowing the boat out of the water or killing anyone.

Abolish ICE.
“Guzmán’s daughter was still in the NICU, unable to eat or breathe independently. The doctors had planned a meeting to review the baby’s prognosis and care plans… As Guzmán went to buckle her seatbelt, she looked out the window and noticed they were surrounded.”
Her baby was in the NICU. She was in ICE detention.
Before Trump took office, postpartum immigrants were rarely detained by ICE. Nayra Guzmán was detained while her 15-day-old baby was in the NICU.

This doesn't make sense when you remember that puberty blockers are regularly prescribed for cis children all the time with no issue. It's only banned for trans youth.
Cass and a co-author have a really telling passage in a recent article where they draw an analogy between cigarette sales and puberty blockers! It's wild.

I am convinced that just like (in my opinion) Google intentionally made Search worse to push AI stuff, Amazon has intentionally made Alexa dumber to push Alexa Plus.

For reasons completely unrelated to any opinions about regulatory policy, a Day 1 executive order here in the US should be ending every government agency account on X. Just delete them all, plain as that. For the same reason the US government need not have accounts on Stormfront or 4chan.
Pretty crazy that nearly all of the EU Commission is still on X even as Elon Musk is literally talking about destroying the EU.

You can leave X. It's really not that difficult.
So what's the outcome?

2️⃣5️⃣ of the 27 Commissioners have posted in the last week

2️⃣4️⃣ of the 27 generally post every week (Albuquerque has never been on X, Ribera is sporadic, McGrath has somehow stopped)

0️⃣ have stopped as a result of what Twitter has become since the Musk takeover

This is straight up murder. It’s incredibly vile that the US government is committing mass murder in our name.

It’s a very short step from these atrocities to murdering US citizens with the same transparently false excuse.

They were civilians.

*37% believe the Holocaust did not happen or was exaggerate
*36% believe NASA faked the moon landing

I think it's relevant to remember, even on its own ludicrous bad faith terms, they hung the whole thing on the hook that *Congress* still can enforce 14AS3. Didn't touch if he's actually qualified, which isn't up to them anyway. That's a challenge this or a future Congress can take up at any time.
I'd also note they already invalidated Section 3 that says that you can't hold federal office if you engaged in insurrection against the United States. These are not judges impartially applying the law. They are racist despots who despise American progress. (3/3)

Birthright citizenship is the explicit text of the Constitution. It's not open to interpretation. Anyone willing to eliminate it is willing to eliminate anything and everything else the Constitution explicitly provides.
Please note that any "centrist" pundit who blithely discusses the "merits" of arguments for eliminating birthright citizenship is either a fascist enabling fascism or a clueless clown enabling fascism.

I'm only a citizen because my grandparents were born here, then my parents, then me. Could I get proof of my grandparents' citizenship? Probably not.
without birthright citizenship in the united states, you don't have a democracy and you don't have rule of law.

revoking birthright citizenship gives fascists free rein to purge the country of literally anyone they don't like. it opens the door to atrocities and mass murder. i am not exaggerating.

(1) the photo on the resume thing always blows my mind

(2) when I lived in Strasbourg, a friend told me that a lot of job listings would ask for "dialectophones" (people who speak Alsacien), not because the language was necessary for the work, but because immigrants don't speak it
You're missing a couple of steps here.

No degree, no job.

And in France you're supposed to put your photo on the resume.

In France there are lots of ways to weed you out before you're ever hired.
