for example. before i transitioned i thought the thing i was most dysphoric about was my chest for instance but since transitioning i've realized that my voice was actually a very intense source of dysphoria that i was just kind of oblivious to and having a deeper voice made me much happier

my counter to this always is that i think ppl actually extremely underestimate their own dysphoria. very similar to like growing up in an abusive environment and not realizing how fucked up it is until you go somewhere else and talk about it and everyone's like wow what the fuck that's so fucked up

anyway there's nothing i can really say to undo the relentless attacks on trans people and the victimization. but we also live in a time where it's easier to find solidarity as a target of those attacks with others than it's ever been, and that's pretty important to not ignore.

also the argument that visibility has hurt the trans community overall is pretty wrong. when you say "visibility" it kind of really matters what actual type of visibility - and that type of visibility has been overwhelmingly, aggressively negative from a lot of extremely moneyed, powerful forces.
