I've seen people say that the officer who murdered Nicole Good should be charged with murder, and to that I add that every officer who kept medics from arriving, who barred doctors from helping should also be charged under conspiracy doctrine.

"A doctor at the scene attempted to help the woman who was shot, but was kept away by federal agents. When an ambulance finally arrived, it was blocked from reaching her by law-enforcement vehicles, and paramedics had to reach her on foot. The woman has died." www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
A Deadly Shooting in Minnesota
A federal immigration agent’s killing of a woman driving an SUV fits into a tragic pattern.

The New York Times is a fucking abomination
If the headline is "disputed shooting" rather than straightforwardly telling the public what happened this rewards the DHS for lying about these events

I have seen three videos now, all of them contradict Tricia's statement. And every single journalist who interacts with her knows that she lies all the time in ways that can be proven, which should also be stated in the piece.
the nyt says that no version of events in minneapolis can be "verified independently." but that's not true! there are multiple videos proving that the ICE version of events is a total lie. maybe the nyt can, y'know, watch one of them? www.nytimes.com/live/2026/01...

Wants to talk about Virginia and Columbus

Doesn’t actually say anything about either place besides the name drop in a literal interview
I have nothing but contempt for this kind of thinking or political advocacy; anyone who joins this man's campaign is taking up with the opposition.

He waves no battle standard, his white flag is ironed, clean, unimprovised, and ready to be unfurled.

One of the underappreciated benefits of socialists running on the Democratic ballot line is that it makes it harder for the establishments of both parties to join together to stop you 🧵

kind of darkly funny that "gender studies" is the stereotypical "useless degree" because gender studies will help you understand a large and important chunk of the current psychosis in american life

This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

More of this. All utilities and related infrastructure (including the internet) should be owned by and fully accountable to the public
20,000 SF customers still lack power due to PG&E’s meltdown.

The private utility model is broken. PG&E is a monopoly fighting to stay a monopoly & not paid based on its performance.

It’s why I authored legislation to make PG&E publicly owned. Utilities must serve the public, not shareholders.🧵
California utilities will keep almost all profits as regulators ease up. They’re still upset
Utilities will suffer small reductions to profits as state regulators ease up on recommended cuts and electric bills remain high

The author of that piece wrote a response to me that was *also* full of factual errors. TFP never issued a correction.

Recently wrote about a PirateWires writer's many factual errors. Also no correction.

The heterodox types who bitch about arrogance in legacy media just never, ever admit mistakes.
again thinking of when The Free Press ran an article alleging that George Floyd was not killed by the cops, and @radleybalko.bsky.social proved beyond any question that the article was bullshit, and instead of retracting it Weiss asked him to come on her podcast
CNN has a show with a similar line. That the problem with this country is we just aren’t talking to each other.

It’s the kind of diagnosis that a toddler would land on.

Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).
