it is safer to assume nothing ever happens: at the same time: the fact that we are at this point is batshit insane, even if the US ends up backing down towards lesser claims

I can barely put into words how the shooting of Renée Nicole Good makes me feel. I know some people find me threatening when I'm visibly queer and/or trans but it hadn't crossed my mind that such an event could be lethal in a very long time. And her wife and kid too. Just heartbreaking.

i think what’s happened is that american unity is completely broken, for a variety of reasons, so we as a people literally cannot understand that someone would think of themselves as canadian before they’d consider themselves as liberal/conservative
