Their complaints are getting cyclical. Nothing going on to write about? Time to play up white grievances & tears reliably.
Fact | You can't write something predicated in the utterly ludicrous assumption that white men are being excluded from publishing unless you are racist.

it’s hard to think of a bigger grift than the claim that predictive text aka gAI is ‘conscious’ and thus “deserve rights” like the ability to vote

We should ask why it’s so easy for terms and concepts like “Heritage American” and “Western Chauvinism” are met with earnest analysis and exploration while academic theory produced by Black scholars are summarily dismissed by people reading introductory texts if that.

No chance until Starmer and Reeves are gone. A pair of over promoted clueless neoliberals, out of their depth and titing about pretending they know what they're doing.
Labour living in a fool’s paradise if it thinks it has plenty of time to turn Britain around.

Fascism awaits. Tariff wars, UK is outside the biggest trading block (EU). Poverty/Inequality rising.

Finance industry deregulated, mega crash incubating.

Must abandon neoliberalism. Need redistribution.

This is related to the idea that if white people don't have 100% of high-prestige jobs, awards, recognition etc it's evidence of discrimination against whiteness. It's where "great replacement" logic leads you. bsky.app/profile/donm...
I see this on the right - the idea that the existence of foreign academic staff and faculty are evidence of discrimination against natives. It's not discrimination, its selection: academia is a global marketplace, the US is the biggest center of that market. So yes, some foreign talent will win.
Striking nativist editorializing by the federal judge who just upheld the $100,000 tax on high-skill immigrants.

She opines that it’s “troubling” that universities hire talent from abroad at all, instead of only native grads.

Then admits (!) that opinion is irrelevant (So why write it? Venting?)

A great example of how the @nytimes.com centers white Americans and Trump supporters in its anecdotal political coverage. You never see stories like this about Black Democrats whose cities are cracked in Republican gerrymandering to give them Republican elected officials.
They Wanted a Conservative State. They Might Get a Democratic Representative Instead.

The passage of Proposition 50, which redrew California’s congressional map, means that all of the state’s conservative north is likely to be represented by Democrats.

I remember students complaining about hand cramps when I was proctoring finals as a TA thirty years ago.

And uh, you’re not supposed to “like” the final exam.
Does anyone else bristle at this framing? WSJ says blue books are “torturing” students with hand cramps, and “nobody likes them.”

Listen, students have been outsourcing everything to AI and cheating their way through college. Blue books should be celebrated as a return to authentic human learning.
They Were Every Student’s Worst Nightmare. Now Blue Books Are Back.
Cheating with ChatGPT has become a huge problem for colleges. The solution is painfully old-school.

Every class at OU is now a My Personal Christian Beliefs class.

Every time any student raises such beliefs, instructors have to accept them.
