We wanted to know how Latino voters felt about Bad Bunny's criticism of ICE. So we talked to three white centrist podcasters at a Le Pain Quotidien in Dupont Ciricle.

Me watching an Olympics event that involves judging: wow they're so talented.

The commentators on TV: Ugh, a slight twitch there at the end. Awful. They might as we throw themselves in the trash can.

Liam Ramos has more American spirit in his little finger than this sonofabitch has in his entire body
Gonzales on Liam Ramos and his family: "They're not gonna qualify for asylum. So what do you do with all the people that go through the process and do not qualify for asylum? You deport them. I understand that 5-year-old and it breaks my heart. I also think, what about that 5-year-old US citizen?"

ngl, "we can't build a train that goes fast, on time, at a reasonable price" has done far far far more damage to elite legitimacy in developed democracies than some Yale professor saying "BIPOC"
CBC doesn't know:
- If it'll be open Feb 8th
- If it'll be faster than Finch
- If there will be signal priority
- If the switches will work in the cold.

What's going onnnnnn

these people came here legally, they are being made into illegal immigrants for the purpose of ethnic cleansing

something we’ve learned from Trump is that there are no cigar-smoking string-pulling masters of the universe directing things from backrooms somewhere

and if a serious administration wanted to go after their wealth they would fold exactly the same way
Wall Street executives always portray themselves as masters of the universe, great forward-thinking stewards of the economy, but they are all rudderless chumps with a fraction of the principles or courage of everyday people protesting ICE.

The SC's action on Trump wasn't based on any matter of law, but purely whether they thought public opinion would allow them to get away with it. Going in fast on the electors scheme - which you could absolutely charge on the 21st - would have sharpened and maintained opinion.

The lesson from the welfare-fraud scandal in Minnesota is that if Democratic state and Federal governments invest time and effort into fighting corruption and fraud they will receive zero credit for it, but the right-wing media-grievance industrial-complex will still use it to justify pogroms.
It would be a mistake for Democrats to dodge the welfare-fraud scandal in Minnesota—people “leading the fight against fraud are not those who want to dismantle the social safety net, but those who want to keep it,” James Surowiecki argues.
Democrats Need to Take Welfare Fraud Seriously
Safeguarding the social safety net is essential for keeping it.

Cannot be stated that the hog people of America not only voted for this, but are too stupid to realize what they’ve done and are offended that someone would treat them this way after they treated them worse.
Carney: "American hegemony in particular helped provide public goods, a stable financial system... this bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "
