Starmer plays to the bigots, trying to compete with Farage. A strong leader would ignore the bigots, and do what is morally right. That would attract more voters. But there is no strength in Starmer, nor in Labour.

But my invitation to debate Nigel Farage - leader to leader - still hasn’t been taken up.

What are they running from?

It's also just not evident based. For all the evidence Cass had tried to amass, this speculation that kids who might have ceased being trans are being frozen in time rather than helped to develop their growing minds, identity and agency by exploring and expressing it actively has zero evidence.
Pure moral panic. How, precisely, would a child who experiments with a different haircut or pronouns get “locked in” to a trans identity?

The parents who had no problem letting her identify as trans suddenly restrict her from identifying as cis? It makes no sense.
"if they socially transition too early we think they can get locked onto a trajectory that may not have been the correct natural trajectory for them"

Parliament, in 90s-10s, made various laws that no one, including transphobes, may discriminate against trans people.

The Supreme Court says, actually, that transphobes can discriminate and also demand that others discriminate.

The High Court says, actually, no, there are simply no laws.

Not just trans people, none of whom have been either interviewed or even quoted about Bridget Phillipson’s transphobic schools “guidance”, but also Palestinians, who are being erased from the “British” Museum.

This is one being proliferated extensively by conservative family therapists and particularly in the conversion therapy advocacy space - CT is being increasingly banned, so those therapists are coaching parents instead in how to "assert boundaries" on their LGBTQ+ youth.
Like a guy who thought that "personal boundaries" meant "rules a parent sets for their child or any other restriction one person places on another" and got very upset when they were informed that boundaries are not that at all

When you’re a UK trans woman, you roll invisible dice every day before work. All sixes, and a coworker with billionaire money will take your employer to court over you, you will be on the news, and when you leave the country, men with abuse allegations against them will call it a victory for women.

Indeed. It's also bleakly funny seeing people go 'this is harmful for teenagers' (a sentiment with a fairly limited evidence base) who have obviously cooked their brains online to the point that they cannot grasp the really simple 'we should probably ban the problematic parts of this for everyone'.
And experiencing them age 17, 47 or 77 is also bad!

The arrogance of "Definitely keep it away from the kids, but lets not think about what it does to adults" is very funny to see on the* "adults who have had their brains cooked by social media site"
