Hey if you have a celebratory playlist queued up for The Day That It Happens, you can test it on the day that the Chiefs are eliminated from the playoffs.

Grok Is Glitching And Spewing Misinformation About The Bondi Beach Shooting
Among other problems, the chatbot is spewing misinformation about the horrific Bondi Beach shooting in Australia.

This is fucking grim. Somebody invented a white guy, an "IT professional" named Edward Crabtree, who stopped the Bondi shooting and spread it all over the internet, which was picked up by AI agents and slop aggregation sites.

The real hero is a fruit stand owner named Ahmed el Ahmed.

Sam Altman: hey I made a machine that stole literally all your stuff in order to make CSAM of your child actors, sometimes it encourages people to kill themselves

Disney: Holy shit here's a billion dollars

Altman: the machine loses more than that each week but thank you. Soon it will become god.

I kept getting served Instagram ads for this transparently janky knockoff star trek advent calendar and it looked so funny I did almost buy it for @gunstreet.bsky.social and @campyalien.bsky.social, but this thread of someone who actually did buy it is sending me into hysterics
I was looking for an anniversary gift for @jsking.bsky.social, I was served a random ad for a Star Trek advent calendar which I bought without really thinking about it. On December 1, he *really* looked at it.
"What does that say?" "To boldly go this Christmas" "Does it?" "OH." (1/?)

66% support either a single national government program or a mix of government and private programs.

The total goes up to 92% if you include support for the continuation of Medicare and Medicaid.

Only 7% said there should be no government involvement of any kind in health care coverage.
Most Americans say government has a responsibility to ensure health care coverage: https://pewrsr.ch/495emca

Of course, normal handshakes don't involve the back of your hand in any way, shape, or form, so this is an obvious lie even by Trumpian standards.

What health issue does Trump have that the White House is so desperate to cover up?
Q: Can you explain what's going on with the bandages on Trump's hand?

LEAVITT: We've given you an explanation. The president is literally constantly shaking hands.

Sometimes people are like "aren't you worried about the kids and their nonsensical new brainrot memes"

But like, the thing is, I can still spot a member of my internet generation by how they respond to "badger badger badger badger"

Playing with language and rhythm is fun, it'll be fine!
One of the things we've enjoyed the most about the six-seven phenomenon is the way it comes with a gesture, which we've also seen represented in emoji form as:
🫴 six-seven 🫳
“6-7” belongs in the dictionary, actually

What is not there is people collectively putting together a firm demand, knowing who it needs to be demanded of, and excluding everyone else.

David Ellison has launched a hostile takeover bid for Warner Discovery, taking his case directly to shareholders after Netflix clinched a deal.

I can’t believe how much of the Trump era is about solving problems that *don’t* exist while making all the problems that *do* exist, worse.

There is no one who thinks the biggest problem with air travel right now is not having an area to do pull-ups.
Duffy on what he's doing to improve the airport experience for travelers: "Maybe I want a workout area where people might get some blood flowing doing some pull ups or step ups in the airport."

Here’s the birth of Christ being defiled by masked federal thugs who think terrorizing marginalized people is funny.

In retrospect, this is the most annoying part, lol. The committee overthought, overanalyzed, tried to artisanally craft a set of playoff teams instead of just ranking them ... and STILL gave us The Rematch Absolutely No One Wanted.
Of all the SEC rematches, why must the public be subjected to OU vs Bama again?
