i was especially struck by these paragraphs, which rang very true to me. libs who grew up around conservatives aren't embarrassed to be liberals--or confused about what conservatives want. there's a certain kind of elite media man, on the other hand--

That’s the thing man. If they are to be taken at their word the only takeaway is that there should be no black people in any job any other white person wants. One quick Google search for any of these jobs would show there are usually one or two minorities are best in a unit of 20 or 30 or more.
UAlbany, one of those, NY state universities, has been hovering around 4 percent tenure track Black faculty since ever. I am THE Black tenure track political scientists. These folks are just little liars.

We are spending a crazy amount on small modular reactors, and we could just be using it to drill deep holes
It would be lovely to have more nuclear but I think the costs and complexity just don’t work. I would guess advanced geothermal will catch on instead.

The mandate that Dems get from a '26 & '28 election has to be aggressively spent on statutory reform to neuter the imperial presidency, hold Trump officials to account, make the House larger and multiparty via proportional representation, and shore up civil rights and the safety net. First 90 days.
