My oldest daughters. I encourage you to get your cortisol levels and blood pressure levels under control. Take care of you. Being “the adult” as a child affects how we stress and that stress is affecting our health
Being the "adult" in a relationship in which you were a literal child entails an exhausting amount of emotional labor, & over time is a low key traumatic stressor in itself-- regardless of how "normal" it felt, how "good" you were at it, or how reinforced you were for it.
