I’m in the process of learning tarot and focusing more on my practice rather than the haphazard way I’ve done it. I’m not comfortable with labels except to say my craft is mostly secular. I’m a deconstructed Christian exploring and expanding my beliefs.
I am not sure what to feel about this. JCO is arguably an awful person and yet…
I kinda wanna cheer for her for such a banger of a takedown. 🤷‍♀️
Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

Don't trust a New York Times reporter. Don't talk to a New York Times reporter. They are the most ambitious journalists on the planet and will do anything to get the story their editor wants. The truth doesn't matter to them, only getting the story their editor wants so they can move up.
heads up to anyone who holds trans kids near: amy harmon from the nyt is searching for and having a hard time finding people to interview to find out exactly what trans kids are doing when their care is limited or cut off, and for purposes of community safety, please shut the fuck up around her.

JK opted to break the deal because Disney refused to restrict the hiring and employment of Trans people.

Disney didn't miss out on a single fucking thing.
Disney missed out on HARRY POTTER on three separate occasions.

• A Disney Publishing executive passed on the book.

• Disney passed on the film rights.

• Disney was in negotiations for theme park rights, but J.K. Rowling opted for Universal.

This gives me hope that the tide may actually be turning here in Texas. It always starts at the local level.

This is a landslide. The last NYC mayoral candidate to clear 1 million votes was John Lindsay—over 50 years ago. It will be dismissed by pundits saying it can only happen in New York. That's garbage. Think pledging to freeze rent and offer childcare won't resonate in Nevada? Wisconsin? Texas?

So few of our national elected Democratic leaders could even fathom saying "Hear me, President Trump, when I say this: To get to any of us, you will have to get through all of us." never-mind meaning it.

there are basically not enough republican voters to create enough safe seats to withstand the kind of wave that, for example, turned virginia into a democratic supermajority state for the first time in the modern era of its politics

Can you IMAGINE the bad press for "pope visits America, ignores white house, TRIES to enter ICE facility, is denied"?

That is a BRUTAL series of events that I am relatively sure, MORE easily happens than excommunication

Here’s my my pitch for why you care about your state attorney general.

The entire conservative judicial machine *depends* on conservative state attorney generals.

John Roberts can’t take a case asking to destroy voting rights if a state attorney generals doesn’t bring it.

Going without sex is not a social hazard. Believing that men 18-30 deserve and or require sex is the problem.
I am not in any way disagreeing with you Rabbi. However with the huge number of sexless young men 18-30 is creating a social hazard.

We need to get gender relationships fixed or we'll suffer from a lot of troubles later on.

We should start a "Republicans are using their per diem budgets to spend on cocaine and $1000 sushi plates" rumor.
ROB SCHMITT: People are using SNAP benefits to get their nails done, to get their weaves and their hair. This is a really ugly program.

SEN. RON JOHNSON: That program needs to be dramatically reformed.

I would rather live next door to someone who speaks another language than live next door to someone who doesn’t want to live near people who speak other languages. I know nothing about Person A but I know person B is a shitbird.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do

I'm going to say this again.

And probably again.

Nazis were really fucking good at mass marketing, propagandizing, creating emblems, and stark, exquisite iconography.

That Totenkopf?

It is as immediately recognizable as Mickey Mouse's three-circle silhouette.

Unmistakable.

You all know it.
