Have just been subjected to bubbly xmas pop music at the store. The chorus lyrics are "it's not christmas until somebody dies," while still managing to sound generic

The tonal whiplash sure is something

More Monsters Next Door
We know they're out there. The strange ones. The unsettling ones. The ones who don't quite fit in. Neighbors. Possibly even the one right next door to you. Could it be they're more than just neighbors...

Absolutely terrifying, but very much worth the read if you can!
In addition to being a fascinating (if horrific) insight into a mostly-unknown period of European prehistory, this includes a BANGER of a quote: "I can see why all these people without heads wouldn’t be good for a community, and might be a cause for abandonment."

This is part of our universe.

An area of sky about the size of a grain of sand held at arm's length.

The spiked features are stars in the Milky Way.

EVERYTHING ELSE IS A GALAXY.

The organisers of the world's biggest planetary science conference are outlawing any DEI-related submissions because their lawyers are afraid they'll lose federal support.

They're losing the support of the planetary science community fucking fast.

Just got back from the doctor's. The bad news is that tests have revealed I have Onomatopoeia.
Naturally concerned, I asked, 'What's that?'
'I'm afraid,' he replied, looking up from his notes with a serious expression. 'It's exactly what it sounds like.'

I am going to make this clear. Although sometimes I enjoy writing scifi starring robots and AI, I do not support AI art. Not only is it incredibly bad for the environment, but these AIs are trained by stealing art from real artists in a clear-cut violation of copyright theft.
