This is John Roberts' America.
The blatant selling of pardons is perhaps the clearest instance of criminal conduct authorized by SCOTUS. Pardons are a quintessential "official act." So, even when Trump takes a bribe to issue one, he is presumably above the criminal law.
The president’s own chief of staff was reportedly stunned by his pardon of a former Honduran president.

I maintain that a pardon issued with corrupt intent to aid or abet a crime or criminal conspiracy in which the President is a participant or beneficiary is void ab nihilo

Former head of trust and safety at Twitter, Yoel Roth, demonstrating the intellectual dishonesty of “In Covid’s Wake” by showing how they distorted his own words to make them say the opposite of what he was arguing.
A small (personal) example of this book’s intellectual dishonesty:

My father-in-law is reading In Covid’s Wake, and excitedly told me he found a passage where I’m quoted. The quote in question is me saying the FBI worked to censor speech on social media.

Huh? When did I say that?!

Please give a warm Bluesky welcome to one of the nastier “vaccine skeptics.”

Freddie here is either part of, or jealous that he’s not part of the study where they’ll let African babies become chronically infected with Hep B in their Quixotic yet fruitless search for vaccine induced mortality.
It is published in a good journal, and includes a completely unique dataset. Reproduces the result of many other DTP studies showing the same (negative) effect on all-cause mortality. But all of that is of course garbage to you because you don't like the conclusions.

This has been made available, so for purposes of commenting on Bari Weiss's decision to spike the story, here's a live-post of that segment.

It begins with a "you may recall" summary of the deportation to el Salvador. Describes the admin's claim that it could deport the men without due process

The Hunter Biden laptop story has not been "verified" TO THIS DAY. Republicans came into possession of some of Hunter Biden's data, that much is true. But that cockamamie story about how they came from an abandoned laptop left at a Republican operative's computer repair shop? Be real.
Yet not a word about "dogshit" when Lesley Stahl lied to Trump's face about the Hunter Biden laptop to help Biden in the 2020 election. If you didn't call that out back then, we don't give a shit what you have to say about Weiss now.

Honestly surprised there aren’t more people in the press asking RFK “how is this not just Tuskegee on steroids?”

You’re trialing nontreatment, on poor black people, single blind (investigators will know, patients will not), when an *effective treatment already exists*. That *worse* than Tuskegee.
“NIH is in crisis, grants are being terminated, labs are closing….but they found $1.6 million for an unsolicited proposal to study whether we should delay a vaccine we’ve been safely giving for 40 years, in a country where infants are at high risk of infection”

This study is Tuskegee on steroids. White researchers from wealthy countries denying a treatment of known efficacy to see what happens to black children.

The only failure of the comparison is how much *worse* this is than Tuskegee - which started before an effective treatment was available.
Public health scientists are raising concerns following news of a $1.6 million award from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for a trial of hepatitis B vaccines in newborn babies in the West African nation of Guinea-Bissau.

Ben Shapiro is used to being around conservatives who make tasteless jokes about Jews, & assuming that’s as deep as the antisemitism goes. These deep cut tropes coming into wider circulation on the right now are the sorts of things people say who have had conversations about murdering lots of Jews.
When I say that it's grim that Jewish people on the right are about to find themselves unwelcome, I am referring to rising antisemitism, which is dangerous and bad

Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens aren't just against Israel. They are actively promoting antisemitic tropes. This is a problem!
