I am opposed to AI products and services because of the extra power they require... IN A CLIMATE CRISIS. I am opposed to AI results - texts and illustrations - because they've been created unethically, via theft and non-consensual use of the work of others. Share if you agree.

"Bluesky is boring."

Social media *should* be boring. Being algorithm and dopamine poisoned is bad, actually.

When your feed dries up for the day, that's your cue to go do something else until new stuff shows up later.

Australians, spread this petition far and wide. Demands Parliament “open anti-trust investigations and penalize the unregulated monopoly of a key part of everyday infrastructure,” as “payment processors are not there to regulate what legal content people consume.”

This is great news

Sesame Street is the last remnant of the idea that television could educate and uplift kids and instruct them on how to be decent citizens and make them feel understood rather than persecuted

It needs to be where everyone can see it
Sesame Street will be putting a huge collection of episodes on YouTube starting in January 2026

This is a fantastic way to educate children

It’s a form of resistance.

Shows like Sesame Street teach love, tolerance, acceptance & more.

These lessons are crucial for the long fight ahead.

I'd really recommend doing this, especially if you have the opportunity to visit a 19 Century graveyard. Not only will you be shocked at how many babies and young children are there, but there will also be a sad and surprising number of women of childbearing age.

Lot of useful idiots on the bluesky app that are defending the OSA simply because Nigel Farage claims to be against it. He's lying, btw. Ffs.

He's lying, he's likely for the OSA because it'd give him all the power to censor whoever he likes when he becomes PM.

The thing about "trans activism" is that it basically didn't exist in the UK as a distinct thing until the last several years, and it emerged largely *in response* to the wave of public transphobia. London Trans Pride first happened in *2019*, in response to anti-trans obstructors at 2018 Pride.
Liberals are starting to say shit like, "trans people asked for too much too fast," and I'll remind your souless asses that we actually didn't ask for anything. we were minding our own business and quietly improving our healthcare and you (cis) decided to do a pogrom against us for no reason.

Canadians, this is a parliamentary petition, not a random online thing. Takes a minute to sign. An easy good deed for the day.
Canadians! There is a petition to sign to protest Mastercard and Visa's control over the purchase of legal adult content. This is specifically about the Steam & itchio situation, but language protects adult creators.

The thing about living in a human society is you either decide that everyone (except those for whom it would be medically dangerous) has to take VACCINES into their bodies or everyone (with no exceptions at all) has to take VIRULENT PATHOGENS in from those around them and, look, the first is better.

Another day, another whiner complaining that I use the singular "they" in my work, and of course they can go fuck themselves

(you see what I did there)

Opinion | ‘They’ has been a singular pronoun for centuries. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s wrong.
Jane Austen did it. You can, too.

I think, in light of all the rotten people out there spreading terf nonsense, today would be a good day to support trans creators.

Trans folk, please add your links to this thread for books or crafts or whatever you do!

- adding backdoors into encryption on OS level
- "sniff" every single message before it gets encrypted AND SAVE IT CENTRALLY
- let a goddamn hallucinating "AI" mark people as criminals

it needs to be stopped, post haste

Don't tell me that these girls don't want it public. Because they've already bravely put it into court documents by pursuing legal consequences to shut Epstein down and hold him accountable. Now they want the rest!!

Hold those responsible accountable! 👏
As many as 100 survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and other victims of sexual abuse are expected to attend a rally Wednesday in Washington, D.C. as a bipartisan Congressional effort gains steam to force the U.S. Department of Justice to make public its controversial files on the disgraced sex trafficker.
As many as 100 Epstein victims will attend Washington rally Wednesday
The rally comes as lawmakers Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) want a vote in the U.S. House of Representatives to force Attorney General Pam Bondi to release Epstein files.

I encourage this. If you're from Texas, contact your local library to see if anything got removed recently (but be kind to them).

And while you're at it, contact your local rep about the latest censorship law (SB 20) and ask why we're all forced to play babysitter.
