Watching my favourite film (along with Black Swan) on it's 34th anniversary of release: Star Trek VI.

I adore this film, with its super timely Cold War analogy, and professional and slick aesthetics. And I think Admiral Cartwright is my favourite Trek villain.

A physicist and chemist, he worked on the Manhattan Project. On May 21, 1946, an accident released a burst of hard radiation on him giving him what doctors called "a three dimensional sunburn".
He died nine days later.

There's only one way this ends, in tears...for the laid off workers and then the organisations that get sucked into the hype machine. Llama and Agents are great force multipliers but suck hard as replacements for actual people...
