In my life I’ve always been predisposed toward forgiving a fuck up and I extend that to game dev too.
Arriving to that conclusion about AI on your own and doing the work to undo it, that takes some integrity I think. I can’t in good faith judge that harshly.

Curious what your stance is on companies that used it and then realized it was a mistake (not from backlash) after the fact and removed it. Im personally a proponent of supporting people that are willing to reevaluate and change. Several small indie projects I've enjoyed had this kind of trajectory.

The real problem with the Avengers: Doomsday teaser isn't that they brought Steve Roger's back. It's the rebranding of him as Midwestern. He's from Brooklyn. Realistically, it's way more likely that he'd have relocated to the Carolinas.

AI companies are 1) securing long term manufacturing commitments on all memory capacity (RAM *and* NAND), and 2) buying up existing stock on shelves - for servers they haven’t even built yet in data centers they haven’t broken ground on.

Even as someone good at this stuff now (because I’ve normalized it over the years) I feel this in my bones. Especially when I try to explain to some casual gamer friends to get this game and make this account and get through this tutorial and sign in and turn on this setting then we can play
