The people yearn for blogs. They’re screaming, crying, throwing up for writing that makes them do the same. They pine for new concepts to be invented so they can curse those terms for their reputation. Like people discovering ancient technology; they are returning to the old ways.

This is MTG's bill, so spare me her redemption arc.
The House passed legislation today that would charge doctors with a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison for providing transition-related care to minors.

Rep. Sarah McBride strongly condemned the legislation in rare personal remarks ahead of the vote.

A lot of men are obsessed with the alleged “advantages” that trans women supposedly have physically over cisgender women because they themselves are convinced that just being men gives them advantages over women.

Quite the day for Trump: The defeat below, the defeat in Indiana, the defeat on the latest Letitia James case, the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, really bad poll numbers (his handling of the economy numbers threatening to fall into the 20s) He's losing it politically as fast as he is mentally.
Say it again for the folks in the back: "The first time the House has voted to overturn a Trump executive order in this term." 🙌
BREAKING: Democrats and Republicans in Congress just voted to pass the Protect America’s Workforce Act to restore federal workers’ union rights – the first time the House has voted to overturn a Trump executive order in this term. https://bit.ly/4oNyBQc

One simple way people have historically added to that harmless “noise” is by posting lighthearted, random, or whimsical content and replying to others in the same playful, off-topic style.

You really cannot spend an hour on the internet without encountering entrenched gender essentialism nonsense.

I don't think you have to be nonbinary to REJECT those notions loudly and vigorously, but I do view part of being nonbinary as mashing the "UNSUBSCRIBE" button on gender as a construct.

The thing about the whole "would you kill Baby Hitler if you had a time machine" that irks me is that it suggests that no Hitler = no Third Reich and in reality no Hitler probably means a Himmler led Third Reich, its not like the other Nazis were just tagalongs who wouldn't be Nazis if not for Adolf

At this point, I wonder if he isn't lying when he says he has "my highest Poll Numbers, ever" since it's entirely possible that's what his aides are telling him. It's quite likely that there's an entire Potemkin village built around Trump right now.

I don’t trust a single one of these politicians regardless of their side, but I still think it’s important to boost what they are doing. It will be very interesting if this goes forward.
““If they’re not gonna run the programs, then what are we paying them for?” she said. “It’s like, you know, you’re paying us for a service and they’re not delivering. So let’s stop paying for it.”

it is remarkable how GOP was able to offset their entire fundraising apparatus collapsing in 2024 because of like six rich people
We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.
