Problem is that after a few years, most people normalize extreme climate as normal
They also normalize disappearance of world Bees insects birds wildlife, marine life, forests wetlands and their replacement with a sterile barren lifeless landscape as normal

Showers over Lower Wharfedale, Yorkshire. Walk purpose fulfilled: elderberries foraged for cold cure conditions.
Rainbow leading from trees in field up to a cloudy sky. Rainbow framing a hillside on the opposite side of the valley. Foreground has as brightly lit grass field.

Do plants affect global climate through water? Some climate scientists say yes, but others say plants' effect is only local or regional. If the plant-power proponents are right, it means, to solve climate, we need more than the energy transition. We also need to restore land to health. My story:
Climate science and the case of the missing moisture
Nature Water - Expected air moisture is missing over drier areas worldwide, possibly because climate models undervalue the effects of plants and other life. This finding could be a fingerprint of...

Democrat @raskin.house.gov excoriates Nigel Farage for banning journalists from Reform UK events:

"I'm asking you a direct question. Why do you ban journalists who oppose your views from coming to your events? Why did you tell local government not to do interviews with your local newspaper?"

According to the City of Paris, in the last 10 years 150K trees have been planted & 45ha of parks created in the already hot city, all intended to not only improve quality-of-life today, but also help the city adapt to & manage summer heatwaves of 50℃ (122F) by 2050.

Just the start.

Common sense.

Destabilize the system, cultivate your humanity, eschew narrow definitions of efficiency. Roam in a wildflower meadow for no reason. Give gifts with no expectation. Write an imperfect paragraph that no one else, let alone the grand fascimile machines, could write.

If we threw the same amount of money at climate catastrophe that this unhinged iteration of Silicon Valley is at “AI” to force us all to use it, we could actually mitigate some of the damage and protect our ecosystems, but then how will 6 guys make all the money.

Melting over 80.6% of the area of the Greenland Ice Sheet. This is the highest value in our data set, which starts in 1981.

@polarportal.bsky.social
Screenshot from polarportal.dk, a website that makes research on the Arctic research conducted by Danish institutions available to the public and researchers. The image shows Greenland in tan and the Greenland Ice Sheet in red and white. The red part indicates melting and covers all except about 20% in the northeast, which is roughly the area higher than 2500 m above Se level.

Below the map is a chart that compares 2025 melting to the 1981-2010 average. The average melting peaks in mid-July at about 35%. For the last few days, melting has occurred over roughly 80% of the area of Greenland, with a maximum melt area of 80.6% on 24 July 2025. This is the highest value in our dataset, which starts in 1981.
