Let's be clear - not ONE of the Palestine Action hunger strikers have been found guilty of a crime.
They haven't even been tried yet.
They are being held on remand charged with terrorism offences. They have not been found guilty.
As such they are legally innocent.
And dying in British jails.
"City of London Police said a 22-year-old woman has been arrested for displaying a placard in support of proscribed organisation, Palestine Action, contrary to Section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000."

The failure of trans healthcare and non-existent support for trans kids leaves us with a ridiculously low quality of life, in sharp contrast to the day to day sentiment of most people who hold no ill will towards trans people at all
If only we had similarly thoughtful, informed-consent based trans healthcare, with reasonable wait times, we’d be pretty close to being a good country for trans adults.

But we don’t.

Probably worth noting that the British government allowed so many Irish people to die on hunger strikes at various times that it has its own Wikipedia page:

Other people the British state allowed to die on hunger strike include a Suffragette and an animal rights activist. They're going to be sitting around watching Love Actually while these people die, and it will not cost them a moment's thought to do so.

Listened to Brent on the latest urbanist agenda pod and really liked his "it's just geometry" argument about getting cars off of roads. This is a good visualisation of that:
What does it take to move 1000 people? Smart infrastructure supporting choices that don’t take up so much space (or produce so much emissions/pollution, cost so much public money etc).

Mobility in cities is about space.

the worst part is how effective it all is

if you're the average person out there casually skimming over 50 headlines a week saying "being transgender is bad and trans people are evil" - not even reading the main body.

You're gonna start to believe it. That's just how persistence works.
Something I have to reiterate is that you are being straight up lied to about trans people and our healthcare on an unfathomable scale, this instance reporting is already being torn to shreds by other people commenting, but the frequency of this kind of reporting is astonishing, it's neverending.
You might think from the headline that this is a story about a trans kid suffering medical consequences from a large drug dose but nope! It is just an interview with an estranged father who is angry that his child happily transitioned.
