There’s a lot of Sharia puns, but this is still the one
Mamdani is going to implement Shania law. That don't impress me much.

When Everything Is Criminalized, We Must Unlearn the Language of “Innocence”
No one should be caged, tortured, detained, or deported by the state — all carceral violence is done wrongfully.

The thing about Watson was that he was a world-class racist, but he was also a remarkable misogynist, and the biggest achievement of his life was stealing from a woman.

If you go to protests, or demonstrations, or are going to help those under threat from 🧊, or track & record 🧊, BRING A PEN & A NOTEPAD.
If something goes wrong, if you witness something awful, you should take photos and capture video.
But you must TAKE NOTES.

If you’re baking and using brown sugar, and some of it shakes out in small clumps, here’s my go-to kitchen pro tip…
You eat them.
They’re little treats.
You deserve it.

In all my years of inhabiting craft spaces, I learned this: when people meet and hands are busy creating, minds are changed.
That is why some of the most radical policies can be traced back through quilts, needle points, and lacemaking.
That tradition is alive & kicking.

Was this the best use of my time today? No. Is it the most amusing way I could have spent the last 90 minutes? Absolutely. Pattern is free here: bit.ly/4nGGCGc

I see lots of apps and pop "science" socmed trends about this too: face shape/body shape/limb length etc can tell you something about the person. It's not cute or a curious game or quiz (as it's often presented), it's normalizing race science and eugenic thinking. It's all been debunked, stop it

If forced, our baristas will strike in dozens of cities on November 13 – the company's busiest sales day of the year.
