Military should not be deployed against US residents. Full stop. Period. No more discussion. OBVIOUSLY.

Why is this so hard?

The White House is mobilizing red state military forces to occupy a Democratic stronghold and let me tell you: No one has ever pretended something isn't happening harder than Democratic leaders are pretending this isn't happening right now.

Might also help deter some of these abuses in at least some cases.

Lots of folks are acting like history ended and that we'll have Trumpist rule forever. But history doesn't work that way and it's long past time to remind folks.

I'm not saying there won't be other progressives. but pritzker has a big platform to fight trump right now; he's also broadly acceptable to mainstream Ds. he's someone who could really win, and progressives getting behind him could give him a real advantage...and put him in debt to progressives.

Firing and demoralizing feminized jobs as enemies of the state while brazenly bribing men with violent jobs that almost instantly puts them into the middle of middle class is very basic gendered warfare. Fulfilling the manosphere’s promise.

It is insane to me that the government can find money to pay ICE agents increasingly larger sums of money, yet teachers have to buy their own pencils.

Every person who said 'states rights' wanted Black people excluded from public life. Every person who thought it was reasonable sounding and did not know that was being fooled.

When they say "no trans athletes" they are setting the stage for no trans people everywhere. It's already playing out.

CUNY presidents had a presentation about this on Wednesday, and there will be more information shared soon, I talked a bit to the CN! director about it. Definitely something to amplify.

@cuny.edu is providing consultation with an attorney for all current students and employees who need help with immigration issues!

This is an amazing resource and other colleges should do the same. Good for CUNY for stepping up to the plate in this way.

Something about how they need to harshly criminalize the throwing of a sandwich at a fascist precisely because it's the kind of expressive act that goes past liberalism's expression as "communicate your ideas" into the articulation of a desire, warning, and even a threat

The adamant elite refusal to call bullshit is a big part of How We Got Here.

The prevailing cultural attitude for years is you must not, under any circumstances, treat anything as bad faith. You are obligated to find some reasonable idea and engage with that, even if you distort to get there.
