Can't take credit for the awesome Amphifa logo, but the one I designed is free to use!

Here's a png with no background. You can buy sticker paper everywhere and use a normal printer to print them out!

Tonight's Milky Way taken from Point Reyes, California. The frames were taken about 33 miles, as the pelican flies, from San francisco. Light the curvature of the Earth is weird!
The Milky Way vertically with some orange and yellow tints at the bottom. These are four 60 second exposures edited in Lightroom and Stitched together on my phone comma so there's definitely a better version on my laptop if I ever release it

On Wednesday we're hosting anarchist writer @rechelon.bsky.social in conversation with mathematical physicist Matilde Marcolli to discuss William's new book on the late 20th century conflict between postmodernists and scientists, and its lasting influence! I have a lot of love for Jung's writing in its time and place, and zero seconds to spend taking Jungian analysis seriously in 2025.

The Coca-Cola Freestyle machine is an echo chamber. Good luck finding nuanced debates about hot button issues on that touch screen. It’s just soda names and flavored syrups

My latest is the story of how my community has rallied to protect and defend our neighbors in recent days, as ICE has targeted the Rogers Park neighborhood in Chicago. "This is not a story about a moment of victory, but a moment of being reminded of our power."
They Came for Our Neighbors. We Showed Up.
Before long, there were dozens, and then hundreds of people in the streets, watching and responding.

two competing theories

-MK Ultra had exactly one successful outcome and it was pink spirals that make you want to be a woman

-Sometimes repression makes people get off to the idea of being "forced" to do something they secretly want to do anyway

Impossible to figure out what's more likely here

If you know basic kabbalah it's actually not too hard to make a golem out of a labubu. Don't recommend it though. They have a pre-existing body-dharma. As soon as they wake they run straight for the sea. V hard to counter. Lost the first one. No idea what it's doing out there. Moved like lightning.

What's that worth in the Middle Ages?

It's not always easy to identify what objects were worth in the Middle Ages, especially the sorts of objects peasants used. Fortunately, legal records provide us with a window into peasants' everyday lives and the objects they used, such as spades. 🧵1/10
A person in a bluish-grey tunic is digging in the green grass with a spade. The person, with blonde hair and a cap on their head, has their right foot on the back of the spade, which is just about to be pushed into the ground. The background is a blue, starry night.
