Reminder that years ago it was found out that the FBI straight up made up a whole bunch of fake forensic sciences, plural. People have gone to jail and been executed due to literally pseudoscience.

I'm a very contrary person by nature, and I do feel like this is defensible. the first time you see this take, I think you should go "oh haha yeah therapy can be helpful to manipulators" and when you've seen it a million times you should go "no that's not true shut up"

I think spending your time in a primary doing charity events and outreach instead of traditional voter contact stuff and direct mail makes a lot of sense for a campaign like Kat Abughazaleh's that is unusually good at getting earned media and leveraging social media for attention.

one of the truly depressing things about the culture war over masks is that we simply refuse to treat them as a tool to mitigate the spread of illness! it should be normal to wear a mask in public when you don’t feel well even if it’s not about saving anybody’s life!!!!! why would you mock that

These people aren't masking for shits and giggles- they are the immunocompromised, elderly, and others who are, or believe themselves to be, particularly vulnerable to infections of airborne viruses such as sars-cov-2, influenza, etc.
