Right now @404media.co has more comprehensive coverage of the @arstechnica.com "AI" article debacle than Ars Technica does themselves.

This is fundamentally the transfer of compute-power as something a person can own, to something a person rents. Which is, you know, not good.
I understand framing the AI bubble RAM supply crisis in terms of stuff like video game consoles because nerds can conceptualize that but the framing does really undersell the sheer magnitude of how it's going to fuck up everything that even touches a computer.

“AI interview” is where we are at in this hellscape job market.

It was bad enough to apply to jobs that were likely mostly non-existent to begin with, now if you even get an interview it won’t be with a real person.

That's a name I've not heard in a long time.

Wish it could have been longer TBH.
Kim Dotcom (who is hardly reliable) is claiming on Xchan that Palantir was hacked. I'm not seeing this from any reliable sources, but if anyone knows anything reach out.

He can't speak without being disingenuous.

Next time you see this 400 vs 10k citation, understand:

The EU figure refers to its approved food additives.

The US figure refers to all substances that can legally contact food, including packaging materials and processing aids.

I know it's meant in good faith but "if we just made smaller scope games and charged 20-40 dollars for them it would fix the industry" is very funny to me. indies release like 20 of those a week on steam. are you buying them? is the industry fixed? no? hm. sounds like you need a different solution

I think about how when they sang La Marseillaise they were still in the midst of a war they did not know they were going to win.
You ever stop and think about CASABLANCA? You ever stop and think about "Welcome back to the fight, this time, I know our side will win?" You ever think about a bar full of people defiantly singing La Marseillaise, played by a soundstage full of Jewish refugees? You ever think about CASABLANCA??????
