I thought magical realism was a fiction genre not a medical specialty.

Was I wrong?

Spineless and/or duplicitous politicians since 2010 has been the UK's curse; from Cameron's claim to protect front line services, through Brexit's benefits, on to the Brexit reset and now Starmer's EU reset and commitment the fictional special relationship. Brown was our last leader with spine.

It's our 4% complemented by every other European nation's 4% that starts to shift the balance - no.

Have you read Philips O'Brien on Substack re: Ukraine war. His take on whether it is a conventional 'manpower' war is eye opening,

'Fairly' is doing some heavy lifting there.

These are going to be worth so much in future 'swag; auctions.

Stay safe.

MLK’s Family Urges Nation To Spend Anniversary Of His Death Twisting His Words To Fit Own Political Agendas https://theonion.com/mlk-s-family-urges-nation-to-spend-anniversary-of-his-d-1824991630/
Think it would be easier than people think to get the public to accept real lower consumption if politicians were more forthright about the case for it. People did so for COVID. "Russia is invading eastern Europe and America is run by a mad king, we need an army" doesn't seem that hard a sell.
I feel like America plotting to annex Greenland while masked state goons terrorise their own communities at will should encourage British press and politicians to reflect on what happens when you act like "far right" is an unfair slur rather than a necessary descriptor of a real political position.
I really don't like to say it, but it's time for all American allies to force close ALL American military bases in their respective countries. Maybe that would send a powerful enough message to the Felon in chief.

Its so close to being the perfect anagram......

I see Wes Streeting is so concerned about the negative impacts of toxic social media that he’s still posting over on the porn place and hasn’t even set up an account here on BlueSky

Banning X would have loads of upsides and really not many downsides for the government. The argument for shutting it down (distribution of CSAM) is incontrovertible, the people who are its most avid users hate the government anyway, and it would address threats to social cohesion and public order.

Yesterday I posted my last ever Tweet and called on the Government to do the same.

Keep Grok and X in the app stores, sure, but god forbid ICE-tracking apps be allowed.

I feel like I'm in upsidedown land.
Why Are Grok and X Still Available in App Stores?
Elon Musk’s chatbot has been used to generate thousands of sexualized images of adults and apparent minors. Apple and Google have removed other “nudify” apps—but continue to host X and Grok.

With everything going on right now, writing about clinical trials as a driver of UK economic growth may seem a bit niche. However, I think it's a good example of the UK needing to rethink its economic relationship with the US.

Freedom of expression. It’s another one of those irregular verbs isn’t?

(1) I’m exercising free speech
(2) You’re offending me
(3) He’s having his citizenship revoked
(4) We can’t say we’re English anymore
(5) You’re engaging in dangerous rhetoric
