lmao just find out whether it's true rather than accusing her of spreading misinformation, what do you think journalism is
“New York Times conducts hostile interview with children’s education influencer questioning her recognition of comprehensively documented war crimes” is not a sentence I could have imagined a few years ago

And unlike the rancid, anti-democratic Senate, every House member is up for reelection next year. An approach I’d consider is focusing attn. on your REP. (if you have a Cave Senator™️ [PA, IL, ME, NV, NH, VA]) & instruct them to (figuratively) torture your Cave Senator (if said Rep. wants your vote)
To be clear: the deal they voted on to move forward last night still needs to be formally voted on in the Senate and House. If the eight are your senators, they should be hearing from you this morning!

Great job, @schumer.senate.gov. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions of Americans to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"

KILMEADE: Schumer says he's voting no. Did you do this outside leadership?

SHAHEEN: No. We kept leadership informed throughout.

If your position is that Democrats have no choice but to agree, than you are impliedly admitting the Democrats are no longer an opposition party because the cost of opposition is too high, and we are effectively a one party fascist state.

apropos of nothing i have been doing some budget projection and it is not unlikely our income next year will be hovering right around the threshhold to get ACA subsidies, so like i could make one amount of money and pay $560/month for insurance or make $100 more and pay $1270/month

Kind of wild that the guy who was supposed to be Hillary health care Clinton’s VP was among those to sell out the ACA.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

it's even funnier because -genocide aside- the biden administration was more or less functioning with mundane competence. these jackasses are bobbling everything they aren't setting on fire (and bobbling things they have set on fire) while President Grandpa nods off and reminisces about Grocery ID
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

Historically, the theory that you reach the masses by running to the center is built on a candidate who won 43 percent of the vote in a three-way race
A "modest margin" when Mamdani beat his next closest challenger by 8 points in a three-person race. Trump won by just 1.5% and it was played off as a seismic realignment of American politics and culture.
Damn, I hate it when things that happen mean nothing :-(

40 men Trump sent to CECOT tell the NYT they were beaten, tortured, and sexually assaulted. The details are worse than you can imagine.

We can’t let them get away with this. Miller and the other architects of this sadism need to go to prison.

A 30 year loan for $500,00 at 6% is $3008 per month. 50 year, $2642. You’re saving about 12% on each payment (less, once you allow for insurance and other fees, which are fixed), but you never live to own your house.
Do the math. It don’t add up
